Description
Cape Verde is an island country, spanning an archipelago of 10 islands located in the central Atlantic Ocean, 570 km (350 miles) off the coast of Western Africa. The islands, covering a combined area of slightly over 4,000 square kilometres (1,500 sq mi), are of volcanic origin and while three of them (Sal, Boa Vista and Maio) are fairly flat, sandy and dry, the remaining ones are generally rockier and have more vegetation.
This is a desirable fishing destination for the big Marlin, Tuna, Shark and Stingrays. The trophy fishing is wonderful all year round here. Due to the merging of warm equatorial currents and cold ones from the Canary Islands the plankton is stimulated to spawn. There are more than 200 species of fish, different sharks, stingrays, lobsters, crabs, shellfish and tortoises. The coral reef is full of life. The whales and dolphins can be also seen in this area.
The climate is dry and subtropical here. The ocean water temperature is: February – March + 21C and more, August-October +25C. It’s windy on the islands which makes it easier to bare the summer heat. The rainfall level is low: 100 — 300 mm.
Today Cape Verde is a favorite country for windsurfers, divers and fishermen.
The exotic fish is more spectacular yet by far more aggressive than their freshwater relatives. Blue Marlin, for example, giant Blue Tuna or Yellowfin Tuna show great stamina while the struggle. For the extreme admirers we offer special fishing for the Sharks and Stingrays. Mako Shark, Bullhead Shark or Stingray Manta are really powerful counterparts. The intensive exhausting battle may last for a couple of hours, leaving the fisherman nearly breathless.
Such experience will surely remain among the most vivid memories.
Near the Son Visent Island our partners have landed the Cape Verde biggest Blue Marlin. It was 448 cm long and it’s weight was 1093 lbs / 493kg. The unforgettable struggle lasted for 2 hours.
The fishermen who come to Cape Verde have a real chance to catch this exotic giant, the length of which can exceed 5 m.

Day 1
Meeting at the airport in Mindelo. Transfer to the Mindel 4* hotel. Meeting the captain and the crew.
Day 2
Breakfast in the hotel. Setting off to the gulf between the islands Son Visent and Sontonton for a full-day 8 hours fishing.
Trolling of Marlin, Sailfish and Tuna.
Day 3
Breakfast in the hotel. Setting off to the ocean not far from Son Visent. Deep sea vertical fishing – jigging. The duration – 6 hours. The fishing takes place at the depth of 120 m for Tuna, Amber Mackerel, Wahoo, Marrow etc.
Day 4
Breakfast in the hotel. Individual excursion along Son Visent Island.
Day 5
Breakfast in the hotel. Setting off to the gulf between the islands Son Visent and Sontonton for a full-day 8 hours fishing.
