Description

Uda is a river in Khabarovsk Region, in the Russian Far East. It flows into the Sea of Okhotsk near the small town Chumikan. Its length is 457 km, the basin is 61,3 thousand sq.km. This remote rarely populated hard to access territory – is a spawning area of the Salmon species.  It’s still a big population of Siberian Taimen (Hucho), since it feeds on multiple Dog Salmon shoals here.  This abundance let the predator grow to the overwhelming size.

There happened the recorded trophies of 70 – 80 kg. And the fish being more than 30 kg is annually caught in this area. Apart from Taimen the fishermen might try to capture Lenok (blunt-nosed and sharp-nosed species), Amur Grayling, Whitefish and Amur Pike.
